The cultural museum (Eriijukiro)
is a collection of Art crafts & Photos that represent Norms, Customs & Traditions and the history of the people of South Western Uganda.
It also exhibits the culture of South Western Uganda and her neighboring kingdoms.
The Eriijukiro is part of the wider Igongo Cultural Center which also includes the Nkwanzi crafts shop, the eclipse monument, the cultural village (Itaramiro) and the Mpororo Courts. It is one of the most popular museums in Uganda and the largest in western Ankole.
The museum is one of the few places you can visit to experience the vast collection of artifacts, exhibits of the agrarian and pastoral culture, history of political changes as well as present-day modernization of agricultural activities in the region.
